Luna Salvatore

birth doula

Hi! I’m luna

I am a Certified Birth Doula employed by St. Peter’s hospital in New York, where I work full time supporting women and their families. My journey began in Brazil, where my two greatest passions—music and the birth world—were cultivated. With a background in Classical Music and experience as a lyrical singer, I blend my musical expertise with my dedication to supporting women during childbirth.

I believe that childbirth is a natural, powerful process, and every woman deserves to experience it with dignity. My mission is to create a serene and supportive environment where you feel empowered, safe, relaxed, and deeply connected.

As your doula, I will use several natural pain relief techniques, therapeutic sounds to promote relaxation, helping you fully embrace and enjoy the transformative journey of bringing new life into the world. Together, we will turn this sacred moment into a beautiful and empowering experience.

  • “Having Luna be part of our birth experience was the single best decision my husband and I made.
From the moment I met with Luna, I knew she was the
right doula for us. I was immediately drawn to
Luna's calm and loving spirit. Throughout our pregnancy, she visited with us, carefully helped to create
and revise our birth plan, showed us
many techniques, and assured us everything would be good. That
    we have
prepared well for an all-natural childbirth! She also has an amazing singing voice and plays
musical instruments to help calm. Additionally, she was ever ready to answer any random questions for
a new Mommy-to-be. Even provided us with printed plans, exercises, check lists and more!

  • The day of baby's birth, she was with us from the moment we stepped inside the hospital until a couple
hours after our daughter's birth. She was loving throughout the labor helping me through all the
difficult contractions and supporting my husband through it. She was always ready with new ideas of
positions and ways to calm me. She did it with an ever ready smile, and let me know everything would
be OK, that I was doing great and I got this . She helped set the calm with tealight candles, music,
always reminding me of techniques, and getting nurses if needed advocating my wishes for
completely natural labor. Even making sure i was well nourished and hydrated. Once our baby was born,
Luna was there checking in on us until we were settled.

  • She is forever part of our family now. Thank you, Luna! You are such a blessing to us. Being a doula is
your true calling in life and we were fortunate to see your loving kindness in action.”
